Wedding Attire

Black-Tie! Please wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable + confident. I know some say don't wear white or black to a wedding... however, we (Eye) don't mind! * * We are asking all AKAs to wear something pink (any shade, anything - shoes, shawl, dress, skirt, -just something pink if you can)* We are asking all Archons to wear their white/off-white dinner jackets*

Where is HSV?

So, we're North Alabama about 20 miles from the Tennessee line and another 20 miles east of I65. Easy drive from: Nashv, Chatty, Atlanta, all of Alabama, Jackson, New Orleans, St. Louis, Louisville. Daily direct flights from the DC area on AA.Com (DCA) and United.Com (IAD). Easy 20 minute flights from Atlanta on Delta. Huntsville International Airport is about ~10 miles from Downtown Huntsville (straight out 565, Exit Downtown).

Is it really invite-only?

Yes! I would love to have everyone I've ever met but we have rules and numbers we must adhere to by our venues!

My Plus One is NOT visible ~

Talk to us offline and we'll see what we can do. We refuse to go over capacity to ensure our family and friends are comfortable. Thank you for understanding.

Is there an age requirement?

Yes! I loved attending weddings as a child, but we're planning for a fun weekend for adults to kick back, relax, and throw a few back.

RSVP - do I?

YES! Please do us a huge lift and RSVP via the insert reply card in your invitation AND here online. Please only RSVP for those listed here on the website. If you're unsure, please ask me. We are using two downtown historic locations with FIRM RULES on numbers! No children at the wedding or reception. WE are delighted to have well-behaved children at all other wedding events as we understand child care can be costly and scarce. Hope this helps. But please - call / text me anytime! I'm arriving Thursday or Friday, what ya got for me?

Oh honey! -- and thank you! Thursday evening we are hosting folks at my parents home in McMullen Cove at 6p CST. Friday night is the official Welcome Toast hosted by the Diamond Family at 6:00pm downtown! Please be sure to RSVP for all events via your invitation in the mail AND online here!

Hotel Information?

We are suggesting folks stay downtown to make it easier for you to walk or take a less-than-five-minute UBER on Friday night and Saturday. However, stay where YOUR needs are met best (& points!). For now we have a room block at the 106 Jefferson (Hilton), Spring Hill Suites - Downtown (Marriott), Hampton Inn Downtown (Hilton), and the AC Hotel (Marriott). See our Travel tab for links to all four downtown hotels. Please note there is a Westin at the Mall which is closer to the Airport and access to 565/I65 for those driving in and want another option. However, we do not have a room block.

Event Parking

All of our venues have parking- some of the downtown venues may require walking a few blocks! All of which is free --with overflow parking at my home church downtown. More on this later! (for those driving)

Ride Share?

Yes! Huntsville has Uber & Lyft (& cabs from the HSV airport). We only recommend renting a car if you're staying longer than two days and/or want to explore what the Tennessee Valley has to offer. Parking is often cheap or free downtown! Check the hotels for exact pricing and intel.

What to bring - weather wise?

Good question! Monitor the weather the 3 days prior to arrival and pack accordingly. We are unique in that we have all four seasons.... sometimes all in the same day! If I'm honest, we also have a lot of rain, extreme humidity (oh, DC people, just wait), and cool nights! Hard to predict so bring a shawl or duster for the reception! Don't forget your allergy medication (if the shoe fits!)

What if I can't attend

No worries! We get it - the (30 minute or so) ceremony will be live-streamed. Link will be sent to those invited and posted two-weeks after for others!
